Getting Started
Do I need a referral to see a denturist?
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us. If you have a dentist, we're happy to work alongside them.
Is the consultation really complimentary?
Yes. At your complimentary consultation we'll examine your mouth, talk through your options and give you a treatment plan and quote before any work begins.
Why do I need an exam before getting a price?
Every mouth is different, so we can't give an accurate price over the phone. What you think you need isn't always what's best for you. Sometimes a simple reline fixes a denture you thought needed replacing, and sometimes a new denture is the better choice. At your complimentary exam, we check your gums, any remaining teeth and your current dentures, explain your options, and give you a clear quote. If we spot anything that needs another provider's attention, we'll refer you.
What affects the cost of dentures?
Your price depends on the type of denture, the materials used and the condition of your mouth. Higher-quality materials can cost more up front but often last longer. For implant dentures, the number of implants and the type of restoration make a big difference. That's why we give every patient a personal quote at a complimentary exam.
How Long Does It Take?
Every mouth is different, so these are typical timelines. We'll give you a timeline for your own case at your consultation.
How long does it take to get complete dentures?
Most complete dentures take 3 to 4 appointments over about 2 to 4 weeks.
How long do partial dentures take?
Partial dentures usually take 3 appointments over about 3 to 4 weeks.
How do immediate dentures work?
We plan and make your dentures over 2 appointments before your surgery, then place them the same day your teeth are removed, so you're never without teeth. While you heal, we offer complimentary adjustments and tissue conditioners to keep you comfortable. We typically wait 9 to 12 months for your gums to heal before relining your dentures for a lasting fit.
How does the All-on-X process work?
All-on-X gives you a full set of fixed teeth supported by dental implants. We plan your case over 2 appointments before surgery, and you leave with teeth the same day as your implant surgery. After about 4 months, once your implants have fused with the bone, we make your final teeth.
How do snap-on implant dentures work?
Snap-on dentures are removable dentures that click onto dental implants for a secure, stable fit. We make your new denture before your implant surgery, so you can wear it while your implants heal, which takes about 3 to 4 months. During healing, a soft tissue conditioner keeps your denture comfortable. Once your implants have healed, we attach your denture to them with a reline. Already have a denture? We can often convert your current denture into a snap-on denture.
Who places the dental implants?
We work with a number of surgeons, and we're happy to work with yours. We use digital technology to plan your case for accuracy, so your implants and teeth fit together precisely.
Insurance & Coverage
Do you direct bill insurance?
Yes. We direct bill all insurance companies, so you only pay the portion your plan doesn't cover.
Do you accept government dental programs?
Yes. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), the Alberta Dental Assistance Program for Seniors, AISH, Alberta Blue Cross and NIHB.
Repairs, Adjustments & Warranty
Can you repair my dentures the same day?
Yes. Repairs are done the same day. Give us a call and we'll get you in.
How long does a reline take?
Most relines are done the same day or the next day.
Are adjustments included?
Yes. Adjustments on your new dentures are complimentary, so we can fine-tune the fit until they feel comfortable.
Do your dentures come with a warranty?
Yes. New dentures come with a warranty. Ask us for the details on your treatment.
